The faculty of Chemistry at the Bu Ali Sina university  is active  in many areas of teaching, research, and scholarship. It has a 25 year  history (since 1977) of commitment to educating students in chemistry at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Research advances made by faculty members and students within the faculty have made significant contributions to many areas of chemistry, including  inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, molecular synthesis chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry , and theoretical chemistry. Research is also used in parallel with coursework as a vehicle for training undergraduate and graduate students in the most advanced topics  of chemistry .

. This faculty offers undergraduate  programs leading to B.Sc. degree in Applied Chemistry and Theoretical Chemistry. The faculty also offers graduate programs leading to M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree in Analytical Chemistry , Inorganic Chemistry , Organic Chemistry , Applied Chemistry and Physical Chemistry. The Ph.D. Programs are offered in Analytical Chemistry , Inorganic Chemistry , Organic Chemistry , Applied Chemistry and Physical Chemistry.

  At present, the faculty has 27 full-time faculty members who have graduated from different  universities around the world.  More than 500  students are currently enrolled in the faculty , 100 of whom are studying at the M.Sc.  level  and  35 are studying at Ph.D. Level.

  This faculty has a chairman that administrates the faculty .

  Admission to this faculty is achieved through a nationwide entrance examination held annually by the Ministry of Science , Research and Technology
