The Faculty of  Literature and Humanities was established in 1986 and its academic activities started with Economics and French Language and Literature programs in 1988. Presently, the new main building of Faculty is located on the main campus of Bu Ali Sina University in the north side which carries out scientific and research activities and has the B.A. and  M.A.  degree programs in its departments. 

  The Faculty of  Literature and Humanities presently consists of   11 departments with about 2300 students and 75 faculty members at present time. The administrative body of the Faculty consists of one Dean and three Vice Deans as following:  Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Vice Dean for Research and Vice Dean for Administration and Finance.

  The Departments of the Faculty include: Arabic Language and Literature , Archeological Languages, Economics , Education ,  Foreign Languages , Law  , Persian Language and Literature, Physical Education and Sport Science, Social Science, Theology and Islamic Education . Each Department is administered by one chairman that is elected by faculty members'  votes for two years.
